Abstract

The purpose of the current research was to educate and support parents based on the evidence of the empirical study of action research. In this study, 30 parents (fathers or mothers), 21 children of athletes and 2 coaches from a specialized football academy that participated in the premier league of Isfahan cities were selected as participants. The research method was action research and qualitative data collection method. Data was collected by observing and recording verbal and non-verbal behaviors. In order to better understand the thoughts, feelings and attitudes of the participant’s, semi-structured interviews were also conducted with the coaches and parents of the athletes. Obtained by carefully implementing and using the method of content analysis and analysis. Nine comprehensive categories of psychological attachment, goal orientation, type of parental involvement, education, fair behavior and fair play, sports, social social, sports goal orientation, new sports parenting style were identified from the perspective of parents based on empirical evidence in the chapter. expected Training and support for parents is different based on their needs during the competition season. Since it is very important to pay attention to identified needs and educate and support parents based on their empirical evidence during the competition season to strengthen the parent-child relationship and promote the sports participation of parents and athletes, there is a need for coaches and psychologists. Sports managers consider environmental and individual factors to educate and support parents based on effective empirical evidence.
