Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a new concept and theory called "motor dependence" for better development of sport based activities among the people of the world. Because of the psychological, physical, cultural, social, and economic role of sports, concepts such as physical education, sports, play, and physical literacy have been developed in the past but they have failed to adequately spread sports and exercises among people . the missing link may be the "inner driver". Previous concepts for the development of exercise among individuals rely mainly on external stimuli, while it is better to focus on internal rather than external stimuli. It is better for a person to be engaged in physical activities in order to pursue these activities throughout his life with inner insistence. The human brain, especially in childhood, gets accustomed to its surroundings and seeks to be in such an environment throughout life. This phenomenon has been attributed to neurotransmitter changes. According to the concept of "motor dependence", if children's life gets surrounded by different sports,, and children are required to perform sports for a long time, their brain gets accustomed to this active environment. Consequently, they will tend to engage themselves in physical activity and exercise across life span. In this paper, the neurophysiological mechanisms of the human brain to get accustomed to exercise in the light of the concept called “motor dependence” will be presented and then discussed from neuroscience point of view based on neurotransmitter based model of human behavior.
