Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of computer games and local games on the eye-hand coordination in children aged 7-10. For this purpose, 60 students who were studying in primary schools, were selected randomly. After answering the questions about personal informational, participants divided into three groups of 20 people consist of two experimental groups and one control group. For primary evaluation of eye-hand coordination, the Marian Frastig pre-test was performed for all of them. In a 45-minute session and 3 times a week, the experimental group played certain games for 6 weeks. A selected experimental group was playing computer games and other experimental groups was playing local games. At the end of practice sessions, post-test was performed .The findings were analyzed by the one way analysis variance (ANOVA). The results show that doing computer games and playing local games has a significant effect on the coordination of eye-hand in children (P =0.001), and there was no significant difference in the eye-hand coordination between experience groups (P=0.116).It seems that the correct use of computer games can improve eye- hand coordination skills to in children. And also Local games can be an important role in improving children's eye-hand coordination.
