The primary goal of this research was to compare the effects of physical and mental practice on the performance and learning of futsal shots, taking into account the type of practice implemented (errorless and errorfull). For this purpose, 75 non-physical education female students between the ages of 22 and 25 were randomly divided into five groups (N = 15 in each group). During the pre-test phase, were assessed at a distance of 3.5 meters. To assess the visualization capabilities between the two mental practice groups, the visualization questionnaire (VMIQ-2) was administered to both groups. In the acquisition phase, the experimental groups performed 80 trials , the control group only performed an unrelated computer task. Then, in the post-test phase, measurements similar to the pre-test were performed. 48 hours later, Retention test, from a distance of six meters, and distance transfer test from a distance of 6.5 meters, and the secondary transfer test was performed at the same time as counting the number of metronome tones from a distance of 6 meters.The results indicated that the shooting performance of the errorless physical group was significantly superior to that of the errorfull physical group, with a statistical significance ,this result was also observed between the two groups with errorfull and errorless mental (P < 0.05). Considering that the different efficiency observed between the two physical groups was also repeated in the mental groups, it is concluded that the two types of physical and mental practice apparently involve similar underlying processes and mechanisms.
